The "Last" Dionosaur That Roamed Earth

For what we know now, the last dinosaur roaming Africa (fossil found in Morroco) has been discovered - Chenanisuaurs barbaricus. This beast roamed Africa and was a top predator in the food chain. For what we know this beast was far more massive than Tyrannosaurus rex. The researchers
who found the fossil speculate that this predator was hunting herbivores and crunching their bones.
We have virtually no dinosaur fossils from this time period in Morocco – it may even be the first dinosaur named from the end-Cretaceous in Africa,”- Dr Nick Longrich, who helped describe the fossil in the study published in Cretaceous Research. “It's also one of the last dinosaurs in Africa before the mass extinction that wiped out the dinosaurs. It's an exciting find because it shows just how different the fauna was in the Southern hemisphere at this time.”
